Section 1 - Weekly Update

This week’s update comes to you from the Maldives, where I’ve just moved after an incredible stretch in Sri Lanka. Even amidst the turquoise waters and tropical calm, deal flow never stops. From IPOs in the US to privately held Middle East energy and healthcare companies seeking venture debt, and private lending opportunities in the UK, the conversations have been as far-reaching as they are exciting.

Not all deals, or investors play by the same rules. Venture capital, private equity, public companies, and private businesses each have their own expectations for returns, timelines, and cash flow. Understanding these differences is crucial, whether you’re looking to invest, raise capital, or grow a business. This week, I’ve been diving deep into these nuances, connecting opportunities with the right partners, and keeping the pulse on global markets always with an eye on where smart timing can make all the difference.

For a deeper dive, check out the featured podcast episode from my friend Ryan Tansom. Alongside Candace Bradley, Ryan explores ownership structures, financial strategies, and the importance of aligning business decisions with personal values—emphasising creative financing and rational decision-making as keys to wealth creation and freedom.

If you’re an investor, strategic partner, or founder exploring an exit, now is a great time to connect. We’ve got exciting projects at Balmoral Partners and Ascend³ from healthcare to high-growth roll-ups and we’re always looking for the right people to join us on the journey.

Section 2 - 🍽️ Investment Opportunity – 💥 An Opportunity to Make a Real Difference for Men 💥

Men’s mental health isn’t talked about enough. Too often, we bury our struggles, fight alone, or convince ourselves we’re “fine” when we’re not. I’ve been there. I know what it’s like to wrestle with your own battles in silence.

Now, there’s a chance to turn those experiences into impact.

We’re offering a unique investment opportunity in a 10-year-old, multi 7-figure men’s mental health business.

This is for men who have fought, who understand the silent battles, and who want to use their resources, experience, and voice to make a difference.

If you’ve ever felt the weight of mental health challenges or know someone who has, this is your chance to help scale a proven business that already works and has impact. To be part of something that will leave a lasting legacy for men everywhere.

📩 If this speaks to you, get in touch. Let’s build something that matters.

It’s time to step up, not just for others, but for ourselves, our brothers, our sons, and the men who need us most.

Section 3 - Expert Corner: What Smart Investors & Entrepreneurs Know from Ryan Tansom and Candace Bradley (check out the podcast below)

🏛️ Ownership Matters: Venture capital, private equity, public companies, and private businesses all play by different rules, returns, timelines, and cash flow aren’t one-size-fits-all.

📊 Finance vs. Accounting: Accounting tells you what happened. Finance tells you what’s really going on.

⚙️ From Engineering to Operations: Financial engineering worked when rates were low but real value comes from strong operations, especially in tough markets.

✅ Profit Over Hype: In private equity, profitability and free cash flow matter more than flashy growth.

💡 Value Creation Made Simple: There are smart ways to grow without burning out—opportunities exist for both investors and entrepreneurs.

Master Your Time: Balancing wealth, cash flow, and time is key to achieving freedom and hitting your goals.

🤝 Creative Acquisitions Win: Think portfolios of smaller companies, alternative financing and smarter deal structures not just conventional loans.

🧠 Decisions With Purpose: Align every business move with your personal values and financial goals. Trade-offs are inevitable, make them intentionally.

🚀 Calculated Risk Pays: Take smart risks early to reach financial and personal freedom faster.

🏗️ Build Your Base: Understand your income, expenses, and cash flow first, then scale with confidence.

Section 4 - Events, Offers, Insights and Announcements: Get Paid AND Earn Equity: Consulting for Business Ownership

I’ve seen more and more business owners literally give away equity to someone who can solve their biggest problems.

Sometimes it’s for:
➡ Access to capital
➡ Expanding into new markets
➡ Landing a key customer
➡ Increasing profitability

Other times, it’s about spreading risk, handing off responsibility, or taking a breather.

Here’s the exciting part: you can earn a monthly consulting fee AND get equity—without buying the business, raising capital, or spending a penny out of pocket. Low risk. High potential reward.

My friends Carl Allen and Chris Moore created Equity Partner, a training program and community that teaches skilled professionals how to leverage their experience, network, and expertise for equity in existing, cash-flowing businesses.

What I love about it:
✅ Lifetime access for a nominal fee (not $20k!)
✅ A community of consultants, strategists, fractional CFOs, marketers, and more
✅ Focused on solving “bleeding problems” for business owners
✅ Built on integrity—you learn to create value, not take advantage

I jumped in immediately and was so impressed, I became an ambassador to share it with you.

Check it out here and see if it’s a fit:

If you’ve ever wanted to own a piece of a business without buying it, this is your blueprint.

Have a great day
