There is a lot written about HMOs, house of multiple occupation, and they certainly can be a great source of income. I took this to the extreme when I leased a 56 bedroom hotel. 

But if you’re just starting up, adding to your portfolio or diversifying from a different asset class, then it's worth knowing more.

Student HMOs, are lucrative but the real money is finding a niche in the professional sharing market.

For the professional market having a capable and hands on management team is essential Remember that the suitability of an HMO depends on individual preferences and circumstances.
